Hockey is not the only sport fighting to protect it's players from head shots. Rugby players take the field helmet-less and are extremely vulnerable. Earlier this week rugby player Digby Ioane was felled by a serious blow to his head. The player responsible for the hit was suspended for one week.
The hit occurs right at the beginning of the video.
